Church of Christ believers teach that water baptism is necessary to be saved. As far as I know, all of them believe that you can lose your salvation too.
A Church of Christ minister when presented with the argument by a Baptist minister, "The thief on the cross was saved even though he wasn't baptized" responded with this answer, "Notice that Jesus had not yet died and that is why he was saved apart from baptism." The Baptist minister laughed and said, "So you are telling me that it was easier to be saved before the cross and not after?" The C of C minister stumbled over his words and left realizing that there was no good reply to give to that one.
Salvation is free and apart from any works of man. Adding baptism to save you only serves to frustrate the grace of God. I will deal with baptism at a later date as that is one topic nobody agrees on and yet everyone believes that they are right.
